Meet Author/Illustrator, Sandra Martin Bates
At the age of 72 I had decided to teach myself watercolor and from that realized I could write and illustrate my own children's books. And, what a journey it has been! My first book, Fantastical Animals Living in Changing World A-Z was published in 2023. I ordered 500 books and had to re-order more within a year. Since then, I wrote two more books and now working on a companion coloring book for my first book. I hope you will become a fan and follow my whereabouts as I attend book fairs, vendor shows, book signings and more. You cannot find my books on Amazon as I choose to follow a different route with self-publishing. You can find me in local stores here in South Carolina. The Mercantile in Pendleton and Coop and Co in Anderson.
